Social Accountability Monitoring of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) in NorthWestern Province

The Civil Society for Poverty Reduction (CSPR) has launched a pilot project, Social Accountability Monitoring of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), with support from the Chronic Poverty Advisory Network (CPAN). This six-month project aims to enhance accountability and transparency in the use of public funds, specifically the CDF, in four wards of Mufumbe District in North-Western Province.
The project seeks to strengthen oversight mechanisms and foster community participation in tracking and managing public resources. To achieve this, CSPR conducted an inception meeting, bringing together key stakeholders, including government officials, traditional leaders, and civil society organizations.
A baseline survey is also being conducted to gather essential data and inform project activities. This project reaffirms CSPR’s commitment to empowering communities and promoting responsible governance.
