The Civil society for Poverty Reduction(CSPR) in Partnership with Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia (EFZ) has hosted the 2024 Shang’ombo District Climate Change Indaba under the theme: Building Resilient Communities: Local Solutions to Climate Shocks.

The Indaba was graced by the District Commissioner for Shangombo district as the guest of honor and attended by key Government stakeholders from line ministries( Green economy and Environment, Agriculture, Local Government,Social services and community Development and Small medium and Enterprise).

The Indaba aimed at convening stakeholders to discuss and address pressing climate-related challenges and fostering actionable change by: Highlighting critical issues such as the role of climate-resilient practices in fostering equitable and sustainable communities, Providing an inclusive platform for underrepresented groups(women, youth, older persons, and persons with disabilities) to share their perspectives and contribute ideas and Recommend actionable strategies to address key issues, ensuring equity and climate justice.

This activity is under the Scottish Government funded Climate Just Communities-CJC project! being implemented through NIRAS in Zambia
