CSPR CHILD RIGHTS SCHOOL CLUBS PARTICIPATE IN ZAMBIA’S 60TH INDEPENDENCE DAY COMMEMORATION

In commemoration of Zambia’s 60th Independence Anniversary, children from #CSPR‘s Child Rights School Clubs came together to showcase their talents and advocate for their rights. The CSPR Child Rights School Clubs seek to expand civil and fiscal space for children’s rights, advocating for policy changes to support child-centered initiatives, and ensuring national resource allocation prioritizes children’s needs.
Poets from Choma Day Primary School among others recited heartfelt verses, paying tribute to Zambia’s liberation heroes and the country’s journey towards freedom. Their powerful words echoed through the halls, inspiring pride and patriotism.
In a beautiful display of diversity and inclusivity, differently-abled children among others took center stage, performing a vibrant traditional dance. This uplifting spectacle celebrated the talents and abilities of all children, regardless of physical or cognitive differences.
In Choma, Southern Province, the independence celebration was Graced by His Worship the Mayor of Choma, and the Choma District Commissioner in company of Southern Province government line Ministries, departments and agencies.
