The Civil Society for Poverty Reduction has held the 5th National Level Policy and Legislative Engagement with the National Assembly of Zambia parliamentary committee on Legal Affairs, Human Rights and Governance to discuss political party financing at Mulungushi Conference Center.
The policy engagement under the Citizens’ Voice project is a platform that provides constituents from Eastern, Western, North-Western and Luapula Provinces and Civil Society Organizations (CSO)s with an opportunity to engage in the legislative process by presenting community voices to various parliamentary committees.
The Citizens Voice project is co- implemented between BBC Media Action with financial support from the European Union. It seeks to empower constituents with social accountability skills by enhancing opportunities for them to engage in parliamentary processes through community dialogue and the use of community media to have their voices heard.
