As this year’s National Decentralization Conference comes to an end, the Civil Society for Poverty Reduction (CSPR) is honored to have delivered remarks on unlocking sustainable local economic development through devolution.
The Executive Director of CSPR Faides TembaTemba noted that, the 2024 National Decentralization Conference has provided all stakeholders with the opportunity to leverage on sector potential and creating synergies for speedy implementation of programs that promote social inclusion and reduces inequalities.
Other dignitaries that joined CSPR in offering final thoughts on the conference include;
1. The Head of the Presidential Delivery Unit
2. The Ambassador of Germany to Zambia
3. The President of the Local Government Association
The Conference discussed and provided recommendations on fiscal decentralization, efficient legal and policy frameworks for improved public service delivery among others.
The conference was officially opened by Her Honor the Republican Vice President Mutale Nalumango, and closed by Secretary to Cabinet Patrick Kangwa.
