CSPR Southern Province in partnership with the Joint Country Program of the Norwegian Church Aid and the Danish Church Aid (JCP) conducted capacity training for savings groups in Monze district.

The capacity support was attended by 30 women from 10 saving Groups of Nabukuyu Community.The training was facilitated by Mr. Gupira Munenga of Monze Town Council.

The training equipped community members with Financial management skills and knowledge on the guidelines and application processes of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).

The Council district planner who conducted the training encouraged and motivated the participants to not only acquire skills and knowledge, but to take steps and apply for the funds to improve their livelihoods.

The training built the capacity of Saving Groups by enhancing the monitoring mechanisms of the Village banking groups that were recently formed. It also enhanced support and coordination opportunities among the saving groups.
