In a bid to strengthen advocacy, the Civil Society for Poverty Reduction (CSPR) with support from the International Labour Organization (ILO) is hosting a training on the MicroZAMOD Economic simulation model. The CSOs are drawn from the Social Protection Advocacy Coalition (SPAC). The Coalition seeks to enhance social protection analysis to influence policy direction in the sector.
Day One (1) focused on introducing participants to MicroZAMOD, a tax-benefit microsimulation model for Zambia, and the model framework and definitional policies.
Guest trainers include the Zambia Institute for Policy Analysis and Research (ZIPAR), and The United Nations University World Institute for Development Economics Research (UN-WIDER)
The training runs from March 25th to March 28th, 2024.
