With Support from Hivos on the VCA project “Advocacy for diverse and climate resilient food systems in Zambia” CSPR with its implementing partners KATC on the 8th to 10th February,2024 held the sensitization meeting with the CDF committee to priotize programmes and projects aimed at enhancing Environmental protection and tackling climate change in Chongwe and Rufunsa districts.

The main objective of this activity was to enhance awareness on climate change and environmental protection among community members and the CDF committee. The activity was also aimed at enhancing understanding of the CDF guidelines among community members and with a component of quality proposal writing for enhanced programme/Project selection,adoption and implementation especially those speaking to/ aimed at enhancing environmental protection and tackling climate change.Further ,the meeting was aimed at enhancing innovation among community members and how they can utilise CDF to address climate change and Environmental protection.

The meeting was attended by members of the CDF committee and Technocrats from both Chongwe and Rufunsa district councils,Climate change expert and the community members from the two districts where the project is being implemented.
