CSPR, in partnership with the Chronic Poverty Advisory Network, is implementing a pilot project in Mufumbwe District to enhance community-based monitoring of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF). The project aims to improve the CDF’s management and utilization, ensuring that funds are allocated effectively to support education, health, and social protection initiatives.
CSPR recently held a CDF Utilization dialogue and advocacy meeting, bringing together key stakeholders, including CDF bearers, community members, and government authorities. The meeting provided a platform for discussion, consensus building, and developing action points to enhance CDF management and utilization.
The Northwestern Province Deputy Permanent Secretary, Mr. Luckson K. Mulumbi, officiated the meeting, emphasizing the importance of research in informing policy decisions. CSPR shared findings from its participatory budget tracking and monitoring study, identifying potential barriers to CDF utilization in service delivery.
