On invitation by the Cabinet Office of the Republic of Zambia, and as part of the Local Government Decentralization Association, the Civil Society for Poverty Reduction (CSPR) is attending the ongoing 2024 National Decentralization Conference in Lusaka. The conference is hosted under the theme, “Unlocking Sustainable Local Economic Development through Devolution.”

The conference comes at least Twelve months after the launch of the National Decentralization Policy. The Policy envisions achieving a citizen-driven local governance within a unitary State for Sustainable Development.

The Conference was officiated by Her Honor the Vice President of the Republic of Zambia Mutale K. Nalumango. The Conference runs from March 26th to March 28th, 2024.
