The Civil Society for Poverty Reduction (CSPR) in Southern Province in partnership with the Joint Country Program of the Norwegian Church Aid and the Danish Church Aid (JCP) conducted capacity training for saving groups in Financial Management, Gender and CDF guidelines. The capacity support was held in Choma District and attended by 30 women from 10 saving Groups of Munamalambo Community.
The training equipped the savings groups with financial management skills and knowledge on the guidelines and application processes of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF). The training was facilitated by the Choma Municipal Council District Planner who provided participants with information and motivation to not only acquire skills and knowledge, but to take steps and apply for CDF to improve their livelihoods.
The training also built capacity in the saving groups to monitor the village banking groups that were newly formed.
