On April 16th, 2024, the Southern Province Project Management Team (SPPMT) of the Civil Society for Poverty Reduction (CSPR) organized community trainings in Monze aimed at enhancing transparency and accountability in government debt management. Held in Nteeme community, the training focused on empowering the youth to hold the government accountable for the transparent and accountable utilization of public resources.
Led by the CSPR Debt Justice champions, community dialogue discussions centered on the implications of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Agreement with Zambia on the economic prospects of young men and women in the country. Participants included village headmen, representatives from local authorities, and community members.
This activity if part of the CSPR amplified youth voices in public debt management project which is financially supported from the Open Society Foundation (OSF) in Southern Province.
