The Civil Society for Poverty Reduction (CSPR) Western Province Division has trained community leaders, such as members of the Ward Development Committee (WDC), traditional leaders, local Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), and other opinion leaders, on state accountability and community engagement.
The training equipped participants with the knowledge and skills needed to monitor the services offered by constituency offices in the respective constituencies. The training spanned from March 14th to 15th, 2024 in Mongu District.
CSPR is jointly implementing this project with the BBC Media action. The project focuses on Building a Resilient, Inclusive, and Democratic Society in Zambia. The project aims to enhance the capacity of Elected MPs, particularly the newly elected ones, and build the capacity to engage with citizens at the constituency level by providing adequate information on their roles and responsibilities. This project is financially supported by the European Union in Zambia
