CSPR, UNICEF, DIAKONIA COURTESY CALLS ON LOCAL HOST AUTHORITIES AND TRADITIONAL LEADERS IN LUAPULA PROVINCE

The Civil Society for Poverty Reduction (CSPR), United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and Diakonia have paid courtesy calls on the Provincial Permanent Secretary, His Royal Highness Chief Kalaba, His Royal Highness Chief Chisunka of Luapula Province, and His Worship the Mayor of Mansa District.
The courtesy calls formed as a starting point ahead of the UNICEF and Diakonia learning and monitoring visit on CSPR’s work in the province, and the Diakonia-bicycles handover to beneficiaries in Chief Chisunka’s chiefdom.
The Local Host Authorities and Traditional Leaders encouraged the entourage to continue supporting the province with development work, promoting civic participation by women, the youth and children for sustainable development and economic growth.
The entourage thanked the Authorities for their commitment to public service and efforts to maintain public safety, and support local initiatives.
The UNICE delegation was led by United Nations County representative —Zambia Dr. Penelope Campbell, in the company of CSPR’S Executive Director Faides TembaTemba and Diakonia County Director Geoffrey Chongo.
